Cerberon - Operation Eisenfaust

REVERENCE - "Until My Dying Breath" (Official Live Video)

Blood Feast - Chopped, Sliced and Diced

‘Chopped, Sliced and Diced’ is the latest offering from long-running thrash outfit Blood Feast. The six track EP (* four tracks on the vinyl version) is a very tasty treat, if you will, and will keep the band’s name out there as they work on a forthcoming full-length album. A new track ‘Concubine’ is combined with re-recorded classics ( four in-studio, one live) to make a rather blistering release. This is some prime, classic, killer thrash. I love it, intend on having it in my car stereo as a driving companion.

Release date is December 21, 2018 through Hells Headbangers.

I should have just gone to either Walmart or Food City.

Been to two of Chattanooga's fine grocery stores this morning, a 'fancy' one and a 'budget' one. As much as I want to like Publix, I just can't. It may be 'employ owned' or whatever it is, and that's gotta be good for somebody, but man, those prices are anything but competitive, and it's nearly the most inconvenient place you could try to shop* (*Aldi holds the distinction of being entirely less convenient than Publix - comment needs citation from someone who actually frequents both establishments regularly to be accurate beyond this posting). Nearly every other 'grocery store' that I can think of has entrance doors and exit doors that ensure a more healthy traffic flow into and out of the place. The importance of having these is really not something that crosses my mind until they're not there and the prospect of navigating a shopping cart to the car or maybe just trying to get out of the rain presents itself. And as far as 'navigating a shopping cart to the car', it's nearly impossible to decline having an employee do that for you without making a scene. It's totally unnecessary. I could go on about how I dislike going to Publix all day. I wouldn't go back ... But, their store brand frozen chicken tenders are pretty superb and they do have a reasonable variety of store brand yogurts (20 cents higher than Walmart, but more different flavors to choose from). The bakery is pretty good there. The deli makes nice sandwiches. The pharmacy is choice, especially if you have antibiotics to fill. So alright, I'll go back to Publix. But you better believe that I will complain and make a scene, if necessary, when I want to carry my own groceries out to the car. My next stop was to the nearest Save-A-Lot ( I had to drive a little further out from where I was and that wasn't planned very well, but I had gotten out of the house to go walking at the park before it started raining. Doggone! Didn't get to walk - sure, a soccer player might go jogging in the rain or something. I ain't trying to catch pneumonia. $#*! So I may as well get to Publix before I go back home). "You know what? These prices here at Publix are the $#*!s. I'll go to this Save-A-Lot place, been meaning to sometime anyway." Ok, so drove out to the Save-A-Lot, it's right by that Asia Buffet place and close to that Gym I didn't want to pay $40 a month or whatever it is to go to. The Asian buffet place is pretty good, though. If it were a little later in the day, I might just go there and have two or three plates. I always thought that they're missing the boat by not opening up a massage parlor next to the place. "Oh, you say there's one close to the gym? Yeah, but it's one of those uppity places ..." Ok, so I go in this Save-A-Lot and it's laid out conveniently enough, but the prices are surprisingly not good at all for the product offered. There's plenty of store brand and knockoff products available at Food City and Walmart that are priced much better. Disappointment. Only bought a couple of items so I actually did save a lot. Unless I was hoping to save time or gasoline. I should have just gone to either Walmart or Food City.

DEVILDRIVER - Copperhead Road (Official Lyric Video) | Napalm Records

Out July 6

Going against the grain comes naturally for DevilDriver.

The globally-renowned California Groove Machine have been a constant and effective force in the heavy metal world for the best part of two decades now. Thanks to widely lauded albums like 2005’s epoch-shredding The Fury Of Our Maker’s Hand, 2011’s ante-raising, ultra-brutal Beast and 2016’s acclaimed career peak Trust No One, the band led by vocalist Dez Fafara (ex-Coal Chamber) are firmly established as one of the most consistent and best loved bands in modern metal. But in 2018, expectations are about to be torched in the mother of all campfires!

A monstrous collection of savage and slamming metal interpretations of Dez and his comrades’ favourite outlaw country songs, Outlaws ‘Til The End is both a startling curveball and a ferocious statement of individuality from a band with cojones to spare. “The blues and outlaw country are what made rock’n’roll. They were around before rock’n’roll...and in my head, I’ve always heard these songs heavy“, explains Dez. From the opening seconds of DevilDriver’s face-flaying version of Hank III’s ‘Country Heroes‘ (featuring the man himself on guest vocals) onwards, Outlaws ‘Til The End is simply one of the most vicious records the band have made yet. More importantly, these evocative, irresistible songs have all been wholly rebuilt from the ground up, powered by the classic DeviDriver sound and embellished with Dez’s unmistakable feral roar. Completing this unprecedented project is a host of metal and country luminaries providing unforgettable cameos: Wednesday 13, Brock Lindow (36 Crazyfists) Burton C. Bell (Fear Factory), Lee Ving (Fear), Randy Blythe and Mark Morton (Lamb Of God) and none other than John Cash Jr, son of Johnny Cash.

The perfect marriage of badass country grit and neck-wrecking groove metal supremacy, it’s a pistol-packing game-changer delivered by true heavy metal outlaws.

BELZEBUBS - Blackened Call (OFFICIAL VIDEO)

Hailing from the abysmal forests of the mystic North, Belzebubs has possessed a stealthy, cult status throughout their existence. Originally summoned together in 2002, the band has succeeded in creating a thrilling blend of melodic black metal, guttural growls and vivid solos, forged with progressive twists and cinematic soundscapes. Accompanied by a new drummer and a three-record-deal with Century Media, Belzebubs finally feels fit to take on the (under)world.

“Blackened Call” is the band's first single, taken from their upcoming debut album, scheduled for a February 2019 release. It was mixed and mastered by Dan Swanö, who's also responsible for the sound of Dark Funeral’s The Secrets Of The Black Arts, Dissection’s The Somberlain and many more.

“Blackened Call” will be available on all streaming and download platforms as a digital 2-track single and as a strictly limited 7inch vinyl (500 copies worldwide), available at www.cmdistro.de and www.backstagerockshop.com, on June 29th, 2018.

Righteous Vendetta - War Is Killing Us All

Metalcore outfit RIGHTEOUS VENDETTA are excited to reveal the music video for their ferocious single, "War Is Killing Us All", taken off of their debut CENTURY MEDIA RECORDS album, "Cursed", which was released in early 2017.

The video was directed by Vince Lundi and filmed at the notorious Ohio State Reformatory, which has held some of history's most infamous criminals and has also been notably seen as the backdrop for blockbuster movies such as 'The Shawshank Redemption'. Much like the alleged ghosts that have been claimed to haunt the prison, RIGHTEOUS VENDETTA refuse to be silenced with their "deliberate and measured harsh vocals and growls" (Cryptic Rock) on "War Is Killing Us All".

Guitarist Justin Olmstead commented:
"Everything came together perfectly for the "War Is Killing Us All" video. The song is dark and aggressive, so we wanted to go at it in a unique way that would actually capture the attitude. Capture the mentality of twisted distress and borderline insanity, while portraying that most battles are created and sustained in our own minds, ultimately attacking ourselves. Vince Lundi and the crew absolutely killed it on our POV concept, and the everyone at the Ohio State Reformatory was so cool in opening their doors and allowing us virtually free reign on sections of the prison to get the shots we needed to get. Everyone had such a great time hanging out and checking out the prison that it didn't even feel like a video shoot. Definitely an experience we will always remember.

WuW - UNE BARQUE SANS RAMES

"Rien ne nous sera épargné is the cascading, instrumental debut from Parisian duo, WuW. A dark and heavy progressive soundtrack for appreciators of Magma, King Crimson and Godspeed! You Black Emperor." - Prosthetic Records

BLACK SALVATION - Breathing Hands (Official Music Video)

"Uncertainty Is Bliss is the Relapse debut from German psychedelic, hard rock trio Black Salvation. Black Salvation (Featuring Uno Bruniusson formerly of In Solitude and Grave Pleasures and currently of Death Alley), challenge the listener to open wide the doors of perception and slowly drift away amongst their transcendental compositions and deeply hypnotic tales of magic and mysticism. Across eight tracks and 40+ minutes, Black Salvation exquisitely blend blues, hard rock, doom and psychedelia into an intoxicating synthesis of rock n' roll alchemy. Uncertainty Is Bliss is surely one of the most captivating rock debuts in years." - Relapse Records
